A Photo A Day – Swoosh

Now I wonder, “What was this photographer thinking?”, when the picture was taken; I don’t mean that in the crazy way, like “That photographer was crazy for taking this picture”, I mean in the, “What was he pondering” way.  How did he decide to frame the ballon this way; oh, and why are the balloons so near basketball hoops anyway?  Don’t they usually launch and fly over wide open spaces?

The “Hare and Hound” competition involves a lead balloon being given a head start and launches first while all the other balloons become the hounds and hunt it down.
